Capel Show 2025
DETAILS:
The Capel Show organising committee needs all volunteers to register for planning, Health & Safety as well as insurance purposes.
Below you will find 11 tasks or duties that you can register for. You can see how many "places" are required and how many have already been filled.
Select "Sign up" for the tasks that you are volunteering for.
- Fill out your details: First Name, Surname, email and mobile number. If you do not have a mobile then do enter your land line - but it limits how we can communicate with you.
- Click sign me up.
- You should receive an email confirming that you are now registered as volunteer for the 2024 Capel Show.
You can sign up for multiple tasks and we thank you if you do, for going "above and beyond". Please also have a look at our volunteer charter which we have created to set expectations on volunteers, but also what you can expect from 'The Show'.
Your details will not be shared with any other organisation and are purely for our internal purposes (as stated: insurance, risk management, planning future shows).
We may also use your mobile phone number for emergency or general communication purposes on the day.

Please register in this section if you will be helping with the show build and preparing the public roads in the village with signage and parking restrictions. These tasks are for the FRIDAY afternoon/evening, the day before the show.
The tasks comprise collecting signs and flags from the Bowls Club and assembling them on the Showground at designated positions as shown on the Showground Map and at the Memorial Hall. Putting out signs throughout the village and the roundabouts at either end, placing non-parking cones along the roads to discourage parking in the village which could create traffic problems. Furthermore (orange) traffic barriers will be installed to separate pedestrians (some 4000 visitors) from moving traffic.
This work is critical to make the show as safe as it can be. You need to be fit and healthy and able move quickly, as well as able to carry unwieldy (and sometimes heavy items).
