Less than 200 Estouras were produced (a fire at the converters destroyed all the records ) It is known however that only 8 were V8's with a manual gearbox, this is one of them ! The other vehicles were Autos and a very few had the smaller 2200 cc engine. The conversion was carried out by FLM Panelcraft and the interior trim by either H R Owen (mine) Hursts or Crayfords. -

Originally built by Team Hartwell of Bournemouth using a basic Imp shell. Gas-flowed 998cc engine with large-bore exhaust, lowered suspension. Bought by me in 1977 from first owner, gradually further modified for road rallies. Retired in 1985 suffering from 'tin worm' and ravages of rallies. In garage for 25years 'awaiting restoration'. Rescued by Imp restorer Colin Rooney and restored to current condition. Now used for classic car runs and shows, and annual blast up Shere Hill Climb. -
