    The 458 is powered by a 4,497cc V8 engine of the "Ferrari/Maserati" F136 family, generating a power output of 562bhp. The engine features direct fuel injection; a first for Ferrari mid-engine setups in its road cars. Body design was by Pininfarina under the leadership of Donato Coco, the Ferrari design director during 2009. Interior design featured input from Michael Schumacher; in a layout common to race cars, the steering wheel incorporates controls normally found on the dashboard or stalks, such as turning signals or high beams.     Great example of an evo 8 bought as a fun weekend car which is a project which I have taken on over the last two years. Just had some engine work carried out on it. There are some rough spots to the paint but it's a shame the paint work will be down after the show due to time it has taken to get the engine sorted and to a good standard. Had a full engine rebuild but never the less it been a blast of fun to drive and is a great looking car running a great deal more power then it's factory spec but still keep it looking original.

    The car is a 1999 Volvo Mk.1 fixed head coupe. These car were made in Sweden and were for the American market. The Americans just love 2 door automatic cars. Along side the fixed head coupe Volvo also did a convertible which the Yanks called "Rag Tops". Volvo were a bit slow in bringing these cars onto the market by which time car makers in Europe were making what is known as "Tin Tops". These were similar in style of the 2 door cars but the roof was in sections and made of metal. When convertable or open top was chosen the roof folded up and slide down in to the boot area. Between 1999 & 2003, the UK imported 2005 Mk.1 coupes and rag tops. There are now 87 coupes and 19 rag tops left on the road according to the DVLA. The last Mk.2 (tin tops) were imported in 2009. The UK is not a fan of 2 door cars.
