I finished building the car in 2021. Tacking approximately 250 hours to complete. I built the car as a tribute to the US Road racing Cobras of the mid 1960's. The engine is a mildly tuned Rover SD1 unit with an Edelbrock carb and tubular exhausts. -

Great example of an evo 8 bought as a fun weekend car which is a project I have taken on over the last three years. There are some rough spots to the paint but it's a shame the paint work will be down after the show due to time it has taken to get the engine sorted and to a good standard. Had a full engine rebuild but never the less it been a blast of fun to drive and is a great looking car running a great deal more power then it's factory spec but still keep it looking original. -

Made in Sweden originally for the American market as they loved 2 door automatic cars but also sold in England in very small numbers. These were also produced in convertible form but dropped after 2 years as they were being produced at a time when many car manufacturers were using mechanical sliding metal roofs which folded up in sections and were stored in the boot, these were known as "tin tops". Volvo also adapted this "tin top" system dropping the coupe and convertible in 2002. -
