This car, which we have named ‘Tiffany’ due to her paintwork, was built in Oakland, California. She spent her first 25 years there before moving to Tennessee where she had two owners from 1975 onwards. Restored between 2012 and 2014 in her original colours of Regal Turquoise and Indian Ivory, the car was imported to the UK in October 2014. The car then made her home in Sheffield before being taken to Northern Ireland in 2020. We have just come back from a trip to the Alsace including Switzerland, Germany , France and Belgium 1700 miles in the week. -

I have owned Olive since 2018. She is used regularly and has recently returned from the European MG Event Of The Year (EEOTY) which was held at Brive in the Dordogne. Overall, we spent just over three weeks wandering around France before returning home. Olive is modified to keep up with modern traffic with a gas flowed cylinder head, twin carburetors, and a fast road cam (The term fast road does not really apply to Olive), She also has front disk brakes and a Ford five speed gearbox. -

Jupiter sports cars were built from 1950 to 1954 all of which were powered by a Jowett-designed 1486cc flat four pushrod engine of 60-62BHP in standard form. Most Jupiters constructed were the aluminium-bodied Mk1 (731) and the Mk1a (94). A further 75 fully equipped Jupiter rolling chassis were sold to specialist coachbuilders like Farina, Gebruder Beutler, Ghia Suisse, Richard Mead, Abbott of Farnham, to name but five. The Factory built three sports-racing R1-type Jupiters for the Le Mans 24-hour races of 1951 and 1952 to capitalise on the standard Jupiter's class win at that race in 1950. The model displayed was finished for a client in Eastbourne and built in Crawley on a rolling chassis and is one of two built to factory specification but lighter weight. It is one of very few with an overdrive. It is know as The Watling Greenwood special after the builder. -

Brief Details: Considered to be the first “Superbike” road tested to ensure it achieved the 125mph top speed it claimed to have. In 1948 the first year of manufacture it was the fastest production motorcycle (to give you perspective the winning speed of the 1948 IOM TT was 88mph), A highly tuned version of this motorcycle broke the land speed record of 150.313, held by Rollie Free in 1948. Recorded in a photo taken during the run wearing his wife’s shower cap, a pair of speedo’s and a borrowed pair of training shoes, now that’s Health & Safety at its best! -
