A 383cu.in ‘Stroker’ V8, built for torque - over 400lbs/ft of it, much of it available from idle it seems. A great drive and great fun. -

Built in September 1954, KFN 918 is a UK Home Market car in its original colours of Healey Blue with a dark blue interior, supplied via Barrett’s of Canterbury. KFN 918 was subject to a nut and bolt restoration in 2005 and upgraded to 100M specification including high compression pistons. The car was recorded as having 153bhp at 4,200rpm post rebuild. Its power-to-weight ratio is now more than the lightweight, competition focused 100S. -

The car wasn't really as good as it looked and after 7 years of my ownership became very scruffy.
