This car owes its survival to being part of the Arthur Carter collection of over 50 British cars from 1971 to 2005, when it passed to its current owners. The previous owner changed the colour from its original Colorado Red to a 1972 MG Morris colour, Teal Blue. Asked why, he said "he liked the colour". We thoroughly agree with him, as it does suit the car. We have fitted electronic ignition, a Motolita steering wheel, seat belts, and radials. We removed the bumpers (kept safely) to save weight. The car answers to the name of "Scooby". -

I have owned this car since 1976 purchased when I was a student. The 3 owner car was rebuilt in 2014. It has been modified with a larger engine, uprated gearbox and rear axle. It has also had disc brakes fitted to help it stop! During my ownership ittaken part in a number of sprints and hill climbs including the Brighton Speed Trials winning its class. The TR3B was made exclusively for the US market when the newly launched TR4 wasn’t a warmly welcomed as anticipated. Triumph therefore made circa 2,700 3B’s and sold them with the TR4 2.2 engine. Overdrive was not fitted as standard but this vehicle has it fitted subsequently. Car has had a full body off restoration (2010-2013) before being returned to the UK. -
